Sweden took the fifth place and Russia was sixth in the final standings of the men’s youth World Championship which took place at the Olympic Palace in Tbilisi, Georgia. The game between two teams was dramatic. Swedes opened the score, but lost the advantage and lagged behind until twenty-third minute. In 10 minutes they ran away 5:0 and won the first time 13:9
After the break in the mechanism of Scandinavians something broke. In some moments they looked unlucky and Russians took the advantage but in the end the luck returned to Swedes. Since twenty-third minutes, in 5 minutes they won 5:0. In dying seconds both teams made blunders and Sweden won with difference of one goal.
The top scorer Oskar Sunnedeldt (LB) who scored 9 goals was the best among Swedes and Ruslan Khabibov of Russia (PV), was named the best among his teammates.
Jerry Hallback (Head Coach of Sweden): It was important for us to take fifth place. Now we go home and can say that we had a nice championship.
