France will play in the final of Men’s Youth World Championship, at Tbilisi Olympic Palace. In the semifinal Frenchmen defeated Denmark with the result 35:27.
French players started the match with the little advantage over the opponents and finished the half-time with the result 17:12. In the second half Eric Quintin’s team became more stable,unmistakable and aggressive, in the defense and in the attack as well, finally won over Denmark with 8 points difference. Yoann Gibelin was named as the best player from winners as he scored 5 goals for his team and Emil Laerke was the most impressive from his team as he scored 8 goals.
“We are very happy, first, we improved our game,we had difference, everybody played well and did something for the team. This is the best thing I wished, now we are in the final against Spain, I except a good game for spectators” – Eric Quintin, French head coach.
“I’m a little disappointed, I think the beginning looked like we could do it, but France is very, very strong team, one of the best teams. We were a little bit nervous and didn’t played well” – Claus Hansen, Danish head coach.
France will face Spain in the final of the tournament tomorrow.
