Defending champions, France looks like an avalanche at the men’s youth world championship in Tbilisi, Georgia. In the quarterfinal good team of Portugal tried it’s best to resist Les Bleus but the most they could do (not considering the second minute of the match when the score was 1:1) was reducing the goal difference to one in the twenty first minute – 9:10. Before the break four times France was ahead with 4 goals difference. Before the break the score was 16:12.
After the break Les Bleus increased their advantage. They gained difference of 10 goals three times. The final result was 34:24.
The best player of France was a goalkeeper Valentin Kieffer and the best among Portuguese was Pivot Luis Frade again.
ERIC QUINTIN (Head Coach of France): It was a good game. The boys are really improving. We want to win but the story is not finished yet. There was no negative side for us in this game.
RICARDO SANTOS (Head coach of Portugal): France is maybe the best team of this tournament. We are not happy but we have to do our best. We were not good in attack. we will try to play better next time.
