Croatia will play in the semifinal at the Men’s Youth World Championship, as Croatians defeated Sweden in a very tense game with the result 27:25.
Scandinavians started the game better, than Croatians and won the first half with a slight advantage 12:9, in the second half Luka Panza’s team showed the spectators incredible fighting skills and finished the game with draw – 23;23. The extra time was very hard and tough for each team, they fought almost every ball, but Croatians were more unmistakable and stable than their opponents and won the match with 2 points difference.
Oskar Sunnefeldt was named as the best player from Jerry Hallback’s team as he scored 6 goals for his team, Ivan Martinovic was the most impressive from winners, he scored 7 goals.
“It was a good game for us but in the beginning of the second half we weren’t good, we lost 4-5 goals directly. Our team never gives up, our negative is that we lost” – Jerry Hallback, Swedish head coach.
