Japan met Algeria in B group game at the Men’s Youth World Championship, at Tbilisi Olympic Palace and defeated the opponents with the result 29:21.
Japanese players started the game actively and faster than Algerians, they took a lead and won the half-time with the result 17:10. In the second half Tustomu Tokoro’s team continued playing fast and stable game and won over the Algerians with 8 points difference. Rennosuke Tokuda was the best player from Japan, he scored 8 goals and Abdel Malek Fodil was the most valuable from Algeria as he scored 7 goals for his team.
“We are happy today because we won a game. We had a very good attack that’s why we had such a good difference, on the other hand our negative side was that we lost balls many times” – Tsutomu Tokoro, Japanese head coach.
“It was difficult match, I want to say that first half was very hard for our players, we don’t know what was problem in first half, Japan is the good team, we lost control and the game too” – Abdelkrim Bechkour, Algerian head coach.
Japan owns 6 points and 3rd place and Abdelkrim Bechkour’s team have 2 points and 5th place in B group. Japan will face 2nd place owner of A group on august 16.
