One of the strongest team of the Men’s Youth World Championship – Norway won over Bahrain with the result 39:23.
Norway,which is considered to be a favorite of the tournament, started the championship with two lost games, but in the match against Bahrain Scandinavians began to fight from the first minutes and defeated the opponents 19:13 in half-time. In the second half, Anstein Engravslia’s team played with more confidence and won over the Asian Champions with 16 points difference. The best player from Norway was goalkeeper Halvor Elias Naerland and the most valuable player from Asians was Abdulla Ali, who scored 6 goals for his team.
‘Today we didn’t have a good day, maybe our team was exhausted because we had big match yesterday. We didn’t focus on a game well and that was the reason of our lose” – Ebrahim Ali, Bahrain’s coach.
“I think, It was tough game in first minutes. The second half was amazing, I think, today we played as a team, we work together hard, but it is always difficult to meet opponents as they are too hard to stop, anyway I’m happy’ – Anstein Engravslia, Norwegian head coach.
Norwegians have 2 points and Bahrain have 2 points too in A group. Norway will meet fellow Scandinavians, Denmark and Bahrain will face Egypt on August 13.
