In another B group game at the Men’s Youth World Championship, hosting country Georgia met Iceland and lost the game with the result 25:42.
Icelanders started game faster and took a lead from the first minutes of the match, they used almost every moment they had and won the first half over the opponent with confident result 24:8. In the second half Georgians tried to play tough, fast game, but Bjarni Fritzson’s team had an psychological and technical advantage as they made less mistakes than hosts. The best layer from Icelanders was Bjarni Ofeigu Valdimarsson and team’s captain, Zurab Gogava was the most impressive from Georgians.
